AggroGator

AggroGator

Your personal story, in one library

Your life is scattered across social apps, cloud drives, old folders, PDFs and family tree files. AggroGator brings your photos, videos and documents together, then helps you date, tag and cite everything so your story stays organized.

Everything stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

One library for your whole story

Stop hunting through five apps and a dozen folders. AggroGator turns your exported data and files into a single library you can browse, search and fix.

Timeline aggregator

Photos, videos and documents from every service merge into one chronological view, grouped by month, place, person or source.

Search and filter

Find anything by caption, person, place, date range or source. A "needs attention" filter shows what's missing a date or location.

Dates, people, places

Capture times from EXIF and sidecars, tagged people, and coordinates or place names are pulled in automatically.

Fix and enrich

Edit in a table or bulk edit: shift a wrong camera clock, add a location, tag people. Write it straight into the photo files.

Duplicate finder

Matches by how photos look, so the same picture from Facebook and Google Photos is found. Merge keeps the best copy; nothing is deleted.

A normal folder you own

Everything is organized Year/Month in a plain folder. Point it at Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox and it syncs to the cloud.

Documents too

PDFs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenDocument, RTF, text and ebooks sit on the same timeline, with previews and dates read from the files.

Family tree

Import a GEDCOM or GEDZIP file from Ancestry, MyHeritage or FamilySearch. Photo links are kept, and likely matches are suggested for you to confirm.

Cite your sources

Record where each item came from using standard citation fields, written into the file. Uncertain dates are stored in the open EDTF format.

Bring it all together

Request your data export from each service, hand AggroGator the ZIP files, and it does the rest. No unzipping, no passwords.

How it works

Three steps, and you only do the first two once per service.

1

Choose a library folder

One folder on your computer, or one that your cloud drive already syncs.

2

Import your exports

Follow the in-app steps to request each export, then select the ZIP files. AggroGator extracts and organizes them by Year/Month, writing dates, places and people into each photo.

3

Browse, search and refine

Explore your timeline, find duplicates, and fix anything that's missing. Re-importing is safe and your edits are kept.

Your history stays yours

  • Local first. Photos live in a folder you choose; the searchable index lives in your browser.
  • Nothing is uploaded. AggroGator works from the official exports and files you give it.
  • No logins. It never asks for your social media passwords and doesn't scrape anything.
  • Non-destructive. Duplicates are hidden, not deleted, and originals can be kept untouched.

Questions

Can it connect to my Ancestry, MyHeritage or FamilySearch account?

It reads the family tree file you export from those sites (GEDCOM or GEDZIP). It never logs in to your accounts.

What does Pro add?

Pro is a standalone desktop app, bought once with PayPal, with no subscription.

Does AggroGator upload my photos anywhere?

No. Your photos stay in the folder you choose, and the index stays in your browser.

Do I need to give it my social media passwords?

No. You request an export from each service and give AggroGator the files you downloaded.

Will it change my original photos?

Only if you choose to write metadata to files. You can save copies to a separate folder instead, and files outside your library get a backup.

What if I import the same export twice?

That's safe. Items already in the library are skipped and your edits are kept.
